We greatly appreciate the works of James A. Duke, Ph.D., which is one of our primary sources of information. Dr. Duke is an ethnobotanist who spent many years working for the USDA. He roamed all over the world, studying medicinal plants and how they were used by the different cultures. He has seen first-hand how people use these herbs, and has used many of these medicinal remedies himself. As a result of his travels, his research, and his experience, he has come to believe that in most cases the whole herb approach is better than the pharmaceutical approach. Drug companies, in order to be able to patent their products, prefer isolating specific chemicals and compounds within the plants, then use only the parts they consider important to make their medicine. The holistic approach recognizes that more often than not, there are other properties within the plants that work together with the compounds that are known to be helpful, which when used together may be more effective and give better balanced results than when the compounds
are isolated. This bears out with our belief that God created the plants just the way they needed to be to serve the purpose they were intended for.

Even in the business of holistic herbal medicine, there are many that fill their vats only 10% to 30% of the way with herbal raw material. We fill
our vats all the way to the top, just barely covering the herbs with the liquids, to get a ratio of 1:1.

We have been making herbal formulas for 15 years. I use these same formulas for myself and for my family, so we take quality very seriously.

Baby's Comfort

To make it easy to administer to the little folk, this formula is extracted in a natural vegetable glycerin base. It contains no alcohol. Using vegetable glycerin results in a pleasant tasting syrup which babies love. (In spite of being sweet, the human body does not process glycerin as a sugar.) This formula is made of catnip leaves, fennel seeds, peppermint leaves, chamomile flowers, lemon balm leaves, and organic orange peels. Separation may occur; shake well before each use.

What it does:
Each one of the ingredients in our Baby’s Comfort has been shown to be very effective against quite an array of stomach problems, which is good because a baby can’t tell you if it’s acid reflux, gas, colic, nervousness, anxiety, stress, or indigestion. Whatever other name the condition might go by, if the baby won’t stop crying or can’t go to sleep, Baby’s Comfort is certainly worth a try! I have seen many cases of babies crying nonstop, with the poor mother (and sometimes the father) at their wit’s end about what to do next, and with one dose of Baby’s Comfort they are asleep in five minutes. It has an almost immediate calming effect. Besides the relief from gastrointestinal distress, it is very soothing and relaxing.

How to use it:
Although this formula is made with babies in mind, anyone with digestive problems can benefit from it. For a baby, give 2 drops for each month of age, up to a year old. The dropper can be slipped into the side of the baby’s mouth while nursing, or Baby’s Comfort can be mixed with a little formula in a bottle. Repeat after 10 minutes if necessary. Stubborn cases may require repeated or increased doses. We had one baby that took a whole lot more Baby’s Comfort before we got the same results. After one year of age, use 1 dropper for each dose.

More Specs:
This product qualifies as raw, unpasteurized, non-GMO, and naturally gluten-free. Made in the USA. Sealed for your protection. Contains NO alcohol.

Your Responsibility:
If you have any condition that needs medical attention, you should see a doctor. We cannot diagnose your condition, neither can we recommend or prescribe a solution to you, but wherever there is freedom people have always had the right to self-treatment. May this serve to better inform you of the natural solutions that are available, based on the latest studies and scientific research available.

Bear in mind that with self-treatment comes self-responsibility for whatever the outcome might be. Doctors never know, without experimenting, exactly which drug is going to help their patient the most. Similarly, herbs do not affect everybody the same way. People have even died from allergic reactions to peanuts and strawberries! It is very important to follow directions and to heed any warnings associated with natural remedies.
